The Wings of History museum and the members who support and maintain it have been in existence for more than 35 years. The name has changed over the years, but the spirit and enthusiasm of the members has always been the driving force that makes the Museum what it is today.

Our members are volunteers who share an interest and a love for flying machines and the people who bring these machines to life. We all are fascinated with the history of aviation and work hard to preserve, restore, and display any and all things to do with the evolution of flight.

We try not to be overly academic in our pursuit of aircraft preservation so some of our effort goes to hosting fun events. Besides our monthly dinner meeting, we have an annual museum open house. At this event we invite all to come and look at our museum displays for free. At our open house, we also invite a diverse collection of other "preservationists."

This means that our annual May event  will present antique cars, tractors, steam engines, balloons, free flights for kids (Young Eagles between 8 and 17), talks/videos, and more. This occurs on May 20th, 2006. We will announce more information on the website soon.

We realize that some people are not in our local area and must experience our museum only through the website. As time goes on, we will be adding photos, articles, and more information about our displays and events.

We sincerely hope that the website content continues to be of interest and invite you to contact us with comments, corrections, questions, and photos/stories of your own. If you want to help this effort, come out and volunteer or even send a tax-free donation...we won't refuse any help.

The Wings Of History is an all volunteer, non-profit organization dedicated to aviation history through education, preservation, restoration and flight.

The Museum preserves and restores antique aircraft, as well as other aviation artifacts. Our volunteers and members work to educate and stimulate interest in historic aircraft. We do this within our local community and for those who visit our Museum.

We strive to develop a fraternal spirit among the region's antique aircraft enthusiasts and to provide a forum for the exchange of aircraft history and information.
