About Christavia
Christavia aircraft were designed and field tested to provide the homebuilder with an aircraft of excellent performance and durability. All materials are standard and available at any good supply house. Safety was a primary consideration and both time and effort went into the design of the aircraft to make it one of the safest on the market.
The Mark IV is a development of the Christavia Mk1, with greater wingspan, a longer fuselage and a four-seat cabin.
Airframe
The fuselage construction is conventional steel tube covered with long life dacron, finished with dope. The wins have two spar sitka spruce with truss ribs, covered in dacron and dope. The wings are strut braced and are designed to sustain a wing loading of +4.5 and -2.4g with a built-in safety factor. Brakes are standard hydraulic from rudder pedals.
Flight Controls
The control system is dual yoke and controls ailerons and elevators. Two sets of pedals control rudder and brakes. A park brake is provided on the panel. Flap control is lever and located between the front seats on the floor. Trim control is located on the cabin roof between the front seats.
Instrument Panel
The instrument panel includes all normal flight instruments plus switches and controls.
